Shanghai transport: set up the English SH MaaS app before you need it

Use the English app for multi-mode routing and airport or rail-station handoff information.

Shanghai’s Municipal Commission of Transport says the English SH MaaS (Suishenxing) app covers metro, buses, suburban rail, Maglev, ferries, taxis and other services. It says the app can be found as SH MaaS in overseas app stores, supports overseas mobile-number sign-up, and provides Hub Connect information for airport and railway-station arrivals. Routes, departures and payment setup remain live conditions in the app.

A clear next step

  1. Search for SH MaaS in an overseas app store and switch to English if needed.
  2. Register with the current overseas-phone or other supported sign-in option.
  3. Use Hub Connect and real-time route information after arriving at an airport or railway station.

Questions

What to keep in mind.

Can the guide give a fixed last train or waiting time?

No. The point of the app is live transport information; check it on the day of travel.
