Cangshan’s Yudai Cloud Travel Road: treat it as a cableway-to-cableway route

The official mountain guide links three cableways with one high-mountain walking route; check every live condition before committing.

Dali Prefecture’s Cangshan guide describes Yudai Cloud Travel Road as a tourist walking route that connects the Gantong, Ximatan and Zhonghe cableways. Its published alignment runs south from the Gantong Cableway to Taoxi in the north and names Qingbi Stream, Qilongnüchi and Zhonghe Temple along the way. This is a mountain route, not a promise that every cableway, trail segment or exit is operating: confirm the day’s access, weather, tickets and physical requirements with the current operator before setting out.

A clear next step

  1. Decide whether your plan begins at 大理苍山感通索道 / Gantong Cableway or uses the Ximatan route; do not treat 苍山 as one generic destination pin.
  2. Use the official route concept to connect the cableway choice with the walking section, rather than assuming a return to the same station is the only option.
  3. Before travelling, confirm live cableway operation, trail access, weather, ticket conditions and the safe exit route with the operator.

Questions

What to keep in mind.

Can I assume I can enter at one cableway and leave at another?

No. The government guide establishes the route relationship, but cableway operation, trail access, tickets, weather and exit arrangements are live conditions to confirm before starting.
